Troop 2 scouts are getting to know the scouts from the 3rd Inverness Crown Scout Troop.

On the drive back to Inverness we stopped along the shore of Loch Ness.

After the cruise on Loch Ness we toured the ruins of Urquhart Castle.

Things here are chilly, but all of the boys are well-rested and eager for the days' adventure: a boat cruise from Inverness, via Loch Ness, to Urquhart Castle.

We have arrived!

We arrived in Inverness right on schedule at 8:04 PM. Our scouts were quickly matched up with their host families, and after brief introductions they have gone off to their homes for the next week. Everyone is very excited.

And now a train!

We're on the final leg of our journey to Inverness. We've traveled by car, plane, bus, and now by train for the final 3 hours of our 24-hour journey to the Highlands!!

Edinburgh

While waiting for the train from Edinburgh to Inverness, we went outside to see a few sights. This is the Scott Monument.

So, we are in Shannon Airport, Ireland, any it is 3:30am, Boston time. Most of the boys didn't sleep on the plane, so they are making the best of their 4-hour layover before our flight to Edinburgh, Scotland.
